All my turnings are made from reclaimed material or timber from local trees that have been felled at the end of their natural cycle. Oak farmhouse beams hundreds of years old or dead branches from the hedgerows and fields are lovingly brought back to life once more on my lathe.
Each and every one of my pieces are hand turned in my Yorkshire Dales workshop. Natural features such as cracks and bark are utilised & highlighted to produce a one-off, individual and unique item that will last a lifetime and beyond.

A simple wipe over bi-annually with a natural oil such as Walnut, Tung or Danish will enrich the grain of the wood. Simply leave the oil to soak in for 10/15 minutes then wipe off excess and polish with a soft cloth.
My turnings should never hold liquids or be imersed in water. A simple wipe over with furniture polish will suffice to clean away any accumulated dust.
All of my fruit bowls are finished in food safe oil and are quite safe to hold dry food products unless otherwise stated.
Postage and packing is in addition to all prices quoted on this website. Some items are quite heavy however i always strive to post in the most economical way for the purchaser & always charge at the cost to me from the chosen courier.
Collection from my address in Addingham is of course free and can be arranged at a mutually convenient time
All of my turnings are made from natural dried or green turned timbers which, by their nature, have imperfections & irregularities as an intrinsic part of their natural charm.. Turned pieces may be subject to some movement depending on the environment they are placed in. Heat from central heating or direct exposure to the sun may cause my pieces to warp, crack or change shape adding more perfect imperfections to their natural character
Metal foiling is a delicate process that is intolerant to water and aggressive rubbing & cleaning.
Should you be not entirely happy with your purchase you may return the item at your cost. On receipt of the item in the same condition as posted out, I will immediatly refund the cost of the item less original postage cost.
If you like something you see that has already been sold, please contact me & if possible I can produce something similar to your liking. There will be no obligation to buy if you do not fully like the photographs of the new piece before posting out to you.
